West Coast Motors is a privately owned family business established in the early 1920’s. We operate buses and coaches on a mix of school contracts, local services, school and private group hires across Argyll with local depots in Campbeltown, Ardrishaig, Oban, Mull, Bute and Dunoon.
Are you ready to leave school or already left school and looking for an apprenticeship to give you a trade for life? We have a rare and exciting opportunity for the role of Apprentice Bus and Coach Mechanic based at our Oban depot.
The successful candidate will be based within the mechanical workshop and will involve learning about the service, maintenance and repair of vehicles including removal and replacement of major components such as engines and gearboxes.
Formal apprenticeship training will be conducted at Glasgow Training Group where the apprentice will complete course modules under the guidance of a dedicated team of professionals, with practical and on the job training conducted at our own premises on the Isle of Mull.
In return for commitment to learning when attending training off-site the Company take care of travelling expenses, accommodation costs and meals.
